We are committed to serving the underserved and underrepresented in developing countries.
On behalf of our Ancestors, our purpose and intent are a reverse journey home from the U.S. to Africa, giving our time and talent to enrich both communities. To also treasure the social impact and humanitarian efforts we can make to help the Country and people progress through the following tenets:
Tourism
Encouraging African-Americans to journey back for experiential learning through historical context, self-discovery, and reconnecting with their African roots.
Leadership Development
Offering a knowledge exchange of best practices to empower and equip local leaders to take agency over their lives—building businesses and leading enterprises.
Women’s Empowerment
Supporting and facilitating professional development to empower and equip women to lead, own, and run their lives and business.

The Continent is now our classroom. This is the history class that you were never taught back then and even now. We invite you to transfer from United States washed Black History to experiential learning on and off campus at our West African University destinations.

In October 2022 at the home of the U.S. Ambassador to The Gambia, one friend says the other “the answer is to create a leadership institute to support The Ambassadors’ work and give back to our People”. Within one week there was a plan to launch the Global Leadership Institute in collaboration with University partners in the U.S. and on the Continent; host a conference and invite our family and friends in the United States to the take the “reverse journey” back home to Africa. So it is Dee C. Marshall, CEO of Diverse & Engaged, and Awamary Lowe-Khan, CEO of Innovate Gambia and Founder of The Woman Boss, joined forces (inspired by our days in MSDL).
